The Blue Spirit is a powerful airbender from the Southern Air Temple. In his first appearance as a frozen ice crystal, he is found as frozen ice as well. The Blue Spirit has been shown to be able to attack with air roots that come out of the ice and bind the target, draining their chi and ultimately freezing them in place. This ability also re-freezes anyone who comes into contact with it and can be used several times before requiring more than one breath of air from the vessel to resume fighting again. He is later revealed to have been brought back by Aang via bloodbending, enabling him to regain all memory of his previous life.
